KOV Velim was founded in the year 1929 by young foundryman named Oldrich Kolar. Company has about 30 employees in the beginning of the Second world war. At that time company consisted of the industrial foundry, art foundry and engineering works.
After the Second world war company became a part of the state owned economy. Founders family came back to the company in the end of 1989 after more then 40 years. They preserved old tradition of matal casting which means still using old processing technology in the foundry.

In the year 1991 traditional non-ferous foundry joined production of bodies, chassis adaptation and cabin modification. As the last machinery production became a part of our production. In the 90's company branch out also bussiness activities into foreign countries and became sole representative of several european companies in the Czech Republic.
Our production programme begins by small bodies for pick-up and modifications of vans.
We offer all kind of bodies for the lorries (from the platforms over the refrigerated trucks to the heavy tipping trucks).
Special part of our product range is production of special utility bodies. In this area we manufacture unique bodies, such as outside broadcasting trucks, workshop trucks, ambulances or special airport technics, for example airport catering truck. In this part of special utility vehicles KOV Velim ranks among only few european top company.
As the last we included into our manufacturing programme production of technics for rescue forces. Here we can name for example fire containers and vehicles or reconstruction of fire ladder trucks.
The last activities of KOV Velim are import and service of motor-caravans and caravans DETHLEFFS, independent gas heating TRUMA, accessory for caravans and camping equipment MOVERA, DOMETIC, WAECO.
